About Our Sport

The Wild Rose Ball Hockey Alberta is the governing body for the sport of ball hockey in the province and is responsible for the growth and development.  Members of the WRBHA enjoy sanctioned league play as well as provincial, national and world tournaments. The WRBHA is a registered society with an elected Board of Directors. Member Leagues vote on behalf of their Member Players. 

WRBHA is the recognized Provincial Sport Organization for ball hockey in Alberta under the Canadian Ball Hockey Association and is the oldest association in Canada.

The Canadian Ball Hockey Association is the National Sport Organization for ball hockey in Canada established in 1977. The CBHA is an associate partner of Hockey Canada and a member of the International Street and Ball Hockey Federation. 

The ISBHF is the International Sport Federation for ball hockey in the World (over 40 member countries), affiliated with the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF with the future authority to one day earn IOC Membership.

The WRBHA slogan BALL HOCKEY PLAY IT. LIVE IT. was created by the 2011 WRBHA Board of Directors to promote the sport in Alberta. Our slogan went viral on social media being used around the world by ball hockey enthusiasts. See our logo on websites, facebook, twitter and more.
